Banking That Works
The Sascu mobile banking app is not a stripped-down version of the desktop platform. It is a purpose-built experience that focuses on the tasks people actually perform on their phones: snapping a check for deposit, sending money to a friend, locking a misplaced debit card, and glancing at a balance before making a purchase. The app uses the same login credentials as Sascu online banking, so there is no separate username or password to remember, and biometric authentication — fingerprint or facial recognition depending on your device — lets you sign in without typing anything at all.
Download the app from the Apple App Store for iPhones running iOS 15 or later, or from Google Play for Android devices running version 10 and above. The app is free, and there are no additional Sascu fees for using mobile banking services. Once installed, open the app, enter your online banking username and password, and follow the prompt to register your device for biometric login if your phone supports it.

Mobile Check Deposit
Photograph the front and back of a paper check, enter the amount, and submit — the funds typically become available the same business day for amounts under the daily limit. The app uses automatic edge detection so you do not need to line up the check perfectly; the camera finds the document boundaries on its own once the check is on a dark, flat surface in good light. After submission, the deposit appears in your transaction history with a "Pending" label until processing completes, which usually happens within a few hours during business days.
Card Management Tools
Misplacing a debit card no longer means calling customer support and waiting on hold. Open the Sascu mobile app, navigate to the card management screen, and tap the freeze toggle. The card stops working for purchases and ATM withdrawals immediately while recurring payments linked to the card number — subscription services, utility bills, membership fees — continue processing uninterrupted. When you find the card, unfreeze it with the same toggle and it resumes normal function within seconds.
Zelle Integration
Sending money through Zelle is built directly into the Sascu mobile app; no separate Zelle application is required. You can send funds to anyone with a US bank account using only their email address or mobile number. Transfers between enrolled Zelle users typically arrive within minutes. The app maintains a contact list of people you have sent money to before, and recurring Zelle payments can be scheduled for regular transfers like rent or shared household expenses. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau offers additional guidance on person-to-person payment safety that complements Sascu's own security measures.
Spending Insights
The app automatically categorizes debit card and ACH transactions — groceries, dining, transportation, utilities, entertainment, health — and presents a monthly spending breakdown as color-coded charts. You can reclassify any transaction with a tap if the automatic category does not match, and the system learns from corrections over time. Budget targets can be set per category, and the app sends a push notification when spending approaches the limit you defined.
